About Asian Society for the Intervention of AIDS (ASIA)
** WELCOME TO ASIA **
The Asian Society for the Intervention of AIDS (ASIA) is a registered charity established in 1995 to promote the health of Asian communities by decreasing the impact of HIV/AIDS though multilingual, culturally appropriate services that support informed choices and equal access to care.
Our vision is to strengthen communities and to empower individuals to make informed choices by increasing awareness of HIV / AIDS. ASIA also works to raise consciousness on issues related to HIV such as homophobia, racism, sexism and other forms of discrimination. We strive to embrace the diversity and complexity of Asian Canadian and Canadian communities.

** Who We Are **
The Asian Society for the Intervention of AIDS (ASIA), a registered non-profit society incorporated in 1995, is committed to providing culturally appropriate and language specific support, outreach, advocacy and education on HIV, AIDS and related issues.
ASIA also works to raise consciousness on issues like HIVphobia, homophobia, racism, sexism and other forms of discrimination. We strive to embrace the diversity and complexity of Asian Canadian and Canadian communities.
Over the years ASIA has developed partnerships with community and social service agencies to enhance services and increase awareness on HIV and AIDS issues. Our agency relies on innovative strategies to build community capacity, not only for HIV intervention but to look at the overall wellness of communities.
Poverty, gender, citizenship status, and sexuality have been documented as conditions of HIV / AIDS vulnerability, particularly for marginalized communities. ASIA operates from a population health perspective that includes a holistic approach to prevention and education around issues relating to HIV and AIDS.
