5th Annual Berger Health Foundation Golf Classic @Foxfire Golf Club -- Lockbourne, OH |
Date : - 11/09/2008 |
Circleville, OH – Constance Care Home Healthcare and Health Care Logistics have stepped up to provide the highest level of Event Sponsorship for the Berger Health Foundation 5h Annual Golf Classic. The outing, which is set for Tuesday, September 16, at Foxfire Golf Club, has become a premier fundraising event for Pickaway County, bringing together more than 350 business and community leaders for a fun-filled day of golf, food and prizes.
“We want to help build awareness of Berger Health Foundation and its role in healthcare and wellness for this community,” said Chuck Bradley, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Constance Care Home Healthcare. “Gifts to the Foundation support everything from cancer care to scholarships, from Circle of Caring to Berger Hospice Care and more,” continued Bradley, who also serves as Vice President of the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
Connie Lewis, President of Health Care Logistics, commented, “We are excited about being part of Berger Health Foundation’s Golf Classic. We are glad to help Berger. The Foundation does great work here, and we want to help the community understand how important it is.”
More than 70 business and individual sponsors have joined Constance Care and Health Care Logistics in supporting this year’s Golf Classic.
A different twist this year is the live auction, featuring local auctioneer Terry Queen. Items up for bid include an individual initiation fee to Pinnacle Golf Club; a timeshare vacation package near Cancun, Mexico; an individual membership to Foxfire Golf Club; footballs autographed by Archie Griffin and Kirk Herbstreit; a painting of the Enniscrone, Ireland golf course done by Lancaster, Ohio, artist Greg Henwood; a year-round massage program, and a Circleville Herald advertising package.
Originally held at the Pickaway Country Club, by 2006 the Golf Classic had grown to the point where one course was no longer sufficient for those who wanted to participate. At that time, the Classic was moved to Foxfire Golf Club in Lockbourne in Northern Pickaway County. Foxfire offers two courses to accommodate the tremendous response from Berger’s vendors, business partners and neighbors.
Bob Sneed, golf committee chairman, said participation in the event has been overwhelming. “We are using both golf courses at Foxfire and reached nearly-full capacity more than two months before the event. This sends a powerful message about our community and their support of Berger Health Foundation.”
Sneed indicated that the Foundation is still seeking volunteers to assist at the event as well as sponsors. “This is a great networking opportunity for local business professionals and community members.”
The Berger Health Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization formed in 2004. The Foundation perpetuates the legacy of philanthropy and programmatic growth for healthcare and wellness as envisioned and delivered by Berger Health System.
