Columbia Memorial Hospital and New Northwest Broadcasters will once again join forces on October 29th to broadcast an all day RADIOTHON to invite community support of CMH’s Cancer Care Program. Last year, there was a tremendous outpouring of support in the successful effort to fund the Digital Mammography service. The theme for this year’s RADIOTHON is the Cancer Care “Quilt of Services.”
As we all know, cancer can come into our lives in many ways. Columbia Memorial is committed to providing comprehensive Cancer Care Services to all those it serves. Whether it be receiving treatment at the newly opened CMH Infusion Center or support and counseling for family members struggling to help a loved one battle the disease, CMH wants to wrap each person up in a “quilt” of care, comfort and support.
As part of the business community, you are invited to join CMH and New Northwest Broadcasters in making this event a success. There are many ways to show your support. Here are just a few:
• Be a Featured Sponsor of the Radiothon for $250. On-air acknowledgement will be continuous for the duration of the event;
• Be an In Kind Sponsor. Donations of food and beverage for volunteers during the event; a Sign Sponsor for all promotional materials;
• Donations of gifts for contributors at various levels – mugs, gift certificates, etc.
• Issue Challenges to be presented On Air during the event; focus on your business sector – real estate firm challenging other real estate firms to donate;
• Donate in person on the day of the event, and we’ll announce it On Air;
• Service organizations elect to make a donation;
• Please call with any idea that motivates you to get involved!
During the live broadcast on KAST 99.7 from the CMH Pavilion in Astoria, NNB’s colorful personalities will bring in area experts and local VIP’s in support of Cancer Care Services at Columbia Memorial. Testimonials and personal stories will be shared and the case will be made about the continually expanding need to provide these services locally. Listeners will be inspired to call in a pledge, help meet a challenge, or drop off a donation at a local site any time during live, On Air effort that runs from 8:00am – 7:00pm.
It’s an important event. Important to each of us personally, and all of us as a community. Get a team together, talk to your business associates about why it’s important to you to have a vibrant and comprehensive Cancer Care Program at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
