| New Surgical Suite Offering Advanced Technology and Treatment to Open at Florida Hospital Altamonte |

Florida Hospital Altamonte is ringing in the new year with a new era of health care by unveiling a new, state-of-the-art Surgical Suite. As technology continues to evolve, Florida Hospital Altamonte strives to stay on the forefront of surgical advancement, and the hospital recently introduced the new facility to the community.
This 30,000-square-foot Surgical Suite includes six operating rooms equipped with the most advanced technology and designed for the latest surgical innovations such as minimally invasive and robotic surgery. In addition, Florida Hospital Altamonte’s fully integrated multi-media operating rooms provide a platform for live surgical broadcasts for training and educational purposes, allowing international connectivity and enabling live consultation with other medical experts within the Florida Hospital system and around the world. The Surgical Suite opened to the public the week of Jan. 12.
“The new Surgical Suite provides a location in Seminole County where patients can come for the best surgical care,” said Dan Magnusson, director of surgical services at Florida Hospital Altamonte. “Because the facility has experienced surgeons, enhanced technology and the most sophisticated surgical techniques, patients can be assured that they will receive the best treatment and technology available.”
As the largest satellite campus within the Florida Hospital system, Florida Hospital Altamonte has provided state-of-the-art health care to the community since 1973. The full-service, 341-bed hospital cares for more than 175,000 patients a year, including 50,000 emergency patients and 17,000 inpatients, with 1,500 baby deliveries, and performs approximately 8,000 surgical cases, making it the largest and most comprehensive hospital in Seminole County.
