Health Visitors are qualified nurses and midwives with additional training and experience in child and family health. They work with families during the ante-natal period and from birth to 5 years. Health visiting services include skill mix teams. This means that the health visitors lead teams that can include, Staff Nurses, Nursery Nurses and Health Care Assistants. As a team they provide advice, carry out home visits, run well-baby clinics at three different health centres, offer immunisations and developmental checks and they can signpost families to other relevant services. The team also runs health visiting appointments at Bemerton Children's Centre and Kate Greenaway Nursery and Children's Centre.
