Capio Nightingale Hospital in Radnor Walk, Chelsea, is a new Adolescent Service based just off the Kings road. It offers 31 beds for Adolescents suffering from acute mental illness. The unit provides a 7-day programme, which includes psychological treatments, group therapy, family support and counselling, as well as a comprehensive educational programme. The unit has additional facilities on site including a gymnasium, educational suite, parent sleepover rooms and family therapy rooms.
Within the hospital there is a 21-bed acute/assessment unit and a 10 bed low secure and intensive care facility.
Referrals can be accepted from patients suffering from general psychiatric problems, including depression, schizophrenia, anxiety related problems as well as care for adolescents suffering from an eating disorder.
The unit can accept patients from the age of 12-18 years old. Emergency admissions to the unit are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
The unit is part of the Quality Network for In-patient CAMHS (QNIC)
