** About Us **
Mainland Medical Center has been an integral part of Galveston County for more than fifty years, and the hospital’s commitment to its neighbors has never been stronger than it is today. This commitment is demonstrated through the hospital’s growth, investment and customer satisfaction. In 2007, Mainland Medical Center received the Texas Health Care Quality Improvement Award of Excellence, and in 2008 received the Healthgrades 5-StarRating for Gastrointestinal Care.
Mainland Medical Center is a 223 bed acute care facility with 90 percent private patient rooms. The center’s 725 member staff and more than 200 physicians provide quality, compassionate care with state-of-the-art services on the 31-acre campus at the corner of Emmett F. Lowry Expressway and Highway 3. The hospital is an HCA affiliate, one of the largest health care providers in the world.
