| Unique artwork unveiled during 50th anniversary celebrations |

A renowned illustrator, artist and print-maker is to unveil two limited edition lithographs to celebrate the 50th anniversary of a charity which brightens the lives of hospital patients through a valuable artwork loan scheme.
Chloe Cheese, who grew up in Essex, will release the two prints, called "Cat in Garden" and "Cat Indoors", at the Paintings in Hospitals (East) 50th anniversary celebrations held at West Suffolk Hospital on Tuesday. 100 signed editions of each image will then be put up for sale, priced at £50 each.
All proceeds will go to Paintings in Hospitals charity, which was established in 1959 to lend paintings and other works of art to hospitals, hospices and healthcare centres throughout the UK.
The charity's aim is to use artwork to enhance healthcare surroundings for patients, staff and visitors. The arm which serves the east of England is based at West Suffolk Hospital, while its collection alone contains more than 300 paintings, prints, photographs and textile pieces, many of which are by leading contemporary British artists.
Gordon Cummings, chairman of Paintings in Hospitals (East), said: "We are absolutely delighted that Chloe Cheese has created these two splendid limited edition lithographs to celebrate our 50th anniversary. They truly are striking pieces which would be a welcome addition to any art lover's collection.
"Over the past 50 years, the generosity of those donating to the charity has helped make healthcare environments around the region much more comfortable and appealing to patients, staff and visitors, for which we are extremely grateful.
"We have now built up a diverse and unique collection which any healthcare facility is welcome to borrow. We hope to build on this collection still further over the coming 50 years so that we can continue to brighten the lives of those using our hospitals and hospices long into the future."
