Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine Celebrates Small Wonders at First Annual NICU Reunion on |

(GRAPEVINE, Texas, April 28, 2009) – Celebrate a park full of success stories on Saturday, May 2 on Lake Grapevine when Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine holds its First Annual NICU Reunion. This exciting event will re-unite children and their families with the physicians, nurses and staff who cared for them while they were in the hospital’s Level 3 neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Families, staff and physicians will
re-unite and celebrate their shared successes.
“We are very excited to see the NICU graduates play and interact with one another,” said Denise Zimmerman, nurse manager of the Baylor Grapevine NICU. “This reunion will give former patients, their families and our staff the chance to celebrate and marvel at how far the children have come. It brings a different dimension to the work we do each and every day.”
WHO: “Graduates” of the neonatal intensive care unit, Baylor Regional Medical Center at Grapevine. More than 200 guests plan to attend.
WHEN: Saturday, May 2 from 2 to 5 p.m. (rain or shine)
WHERE: Trawick Park Pavilion at Oak Grove Park, Lake Grapevine. The park is located at 2500 Dove Loop Drive, Grapevine, Texas 76051.
ACTIVITIES: Family fun including bounce house, games, popcorn, family photos, cotton candy and other goodies. Families will re-unite with former caregivers.
Baylor Grapevine offers a Level 3 NICU which provides advanced life support services and technologies for premature and seriously ill newborns. Staffed by board-certified neonatologists, specialized nurses and neonatal nurse practitioners, the NICU provides surgical services and advanced ventilator care for infants as early as 24-weeks gestation.
