About BGS Apollo Hospital
Apollo BGS Hospital was started on the 1st of August, 2001 in the heart of the Royal City of Mysore. We started with only 10 beds. Now, we have increased to 200 beds and our occupancy levels are 100%. Our Hospital was started based on a vision, a common vision of Visionaries... the Founding Father of Apollo Group and Chairman Dr. Pratap.C.Reddy, the Managing Director of Apollo Group Ms. Preetha Reddy and the Head of BGS group, Sri Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji.
This common vision was to provide International Quality Healthcare in the Royal City of Mysore.
We, at Apollo BGS, are committed to serving the People from around the world with the best possible people in the particular field and with extremely good care. For achieving this objective, we have full fledged departments like General medicine, Gynaecology & Paediatrics, Cardiology, Cardiothoracic surgery, Urology, Nephrology & Kidney transplant unit, Gastroenterology & Hepatology, Orthopedics, ENT, Neurology and Endocrinology & diabetics. We also have well equipped laboratory with an experienced Pathologist and a good Radiology unit as well. Our critical care units include ICCU (Intensive Coronary Care Unit), CTICU (Cardio-Thoracic Intensive Care Unit), MICU (Medical Intensive Care Unit), SICU (Surgical Intensive Care Unit) and NICU (Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit). The NICU is the first of its kind in the region.
We have the Operation theatre complex, consisting of separate operation theatres for various departments. To enable simultaneous operations in all these OTs, we have very well trained and dedicated OT staff. We have an advanced Haemo-Dialysis center, which is looked after by highly qualified staff. Our Emergency and Trauma care is excellent, with a very well equipped Emergency Unit having round the clock doctor attention. We, at Apollo BGS, provide access to the best medical professionals across the world by making use of the modern IT technology through Telemedicine. We treat about 65,000 patients a year on average, including a small number of international patients. Besides the in-house services of the Hospital, we have a team of Doctors, who are called the Morning Walkers' Club, who regularly visit places where people come for morning walks and perform free check-ups. We also organize several free health check up camps in and around Mysore. We have setup information centres at Gonikoppa, Madikeri, Ammathi, Kollegal, Chamarajanagar, Mandya and Ooty.
Apollo Clinics have also been setup at prime locations like the Infosys Campus in Mysore, L&T campus, Bylakuppe Tibetian centre and at Mandya. History Of BGS Apollo Hospital
BGS Apollo Hospital:-is located in Kuvempunagar, in the heart of Mysore City, in the state of Karnataka. It was opened on the 1st of August, 2001, with only 10 beds. Since then the bed-strength has increased to 170. Our occupancy levels are 100%. The hospital handles around 62,000 patients a year on average, including a small number of international patients.
