Making quality facilities for diagnosis and treatment affordable to common man is the primary motto of Chandramathy Amma Memorial Hospital. Founded by late Sri. V.N. Nair, a leading business man at singapore who hails from Peringavu, Thrissur, CAM hospital is ideally situated 5km away from Thrissur town in the Thrissur-Kanjani main road. Inaugurated in 1981 with
Dr. M.Chandrasekharan as the superintendent to start with CAM hospital had a bed capacity of 45 with specialists in general medicine, general surgery, obstetics and gynaecology, paediatrics, ENT & Ophthalmology. Over a period of time Hospital grew to the present bed capacity of 80 with a 29,000 sq.feet building spread over 1.10acres of land.
Led by a team of 20 Doctors, the hospital today is a partnership concern of Dr. Govindankutty and Mrs. P.Rugmini, children of late Mr. V.N. Nair.
Today assisting the 20 member team of doctors is a nursing staff of 60 and 10 paramedical staff. The hospital has well equipped round the clock casualty, clinical laboratory, an Operation theatres complex, Scan & X-Ray facilities, Intensive Care Units, Physiotherapy and Pharmacy.
