Late Shri Appasaheb Pendse, a great reformist & founder of Jnana Prabodhini dreamt of a multi-disciplinary, integrated model of medical service. This dream became a lifetime mission for a group of young doctors, all ex-students of Jnana Prabodhini. To fulfill this dream, Jnana Prabodhini Medical Trust (JPMT) was founded in September 1993, by this group of young doctors, the mission statement being 'Rational ethical medical service available to rich and poor alike; integrated approach towards medicine and rural health service network'.
Padmashree Late Annasaheb Beheray, the then chairman of M.T.E.Society & its trustees realizing the potential of these young doctors handed over the management of Sanjeevan Hospital to JPMT. With full zeal & vigor this motivated group set out to work in Sanjeevan hospital in December, 1993.
The "Sanjeevan team" did justice to the confidence & faith endowed upon them by the people. The first hospital of its kind to provide best available treatment in all faculties of Allopathy, Homoeopathy & Ayurved under one roof, it has created a special place in the medical scene of Pune & has acquired repute as a 'hospital with a human face'. Advanced technology in medicine offers the advantage of accuracy, reduced stay & patient comfort. Sanjeevan has made a conscious effort to provide excellence through its dedicated & competent team of doctors with the help of state of the art technology & its devoted staff.
