** Vision **
Cancer is perceived by most as both a physical & mental ordeal. To confront this grave challenge, a group of doctors, social workers and philanthropists got together under the leadership of Dr. Saroj Gupta and formed a society in 1973. At Thakurpukur on a donated piece of land, CANCER CENTRE & WELFARE HOME was incepted initially to provide a sojourn to distressed Cancer patients who came to the city for treatment at different hospitals. In the course of 3 decades, the small 'Home' with 25 beds has emerged as a full-fledged modern Cancer Hospital with 254 beds to be known & loved as CANCER CENTRE WELFARE HOME AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE.
