Facilities Comfort and privacy when you need it
While benefiting from the expertise and facilities of the
world's largest specialist eye hospital, private patients
at Moorfields can enjoy the additional comforts and convenience of a modern private hospital.
All private patients are treated in our four dedicated locations:
the John Saunders Suite, the Cumberlege Wing, the Arthur Steele
Unit and the newly opened Rapid Access Clinic in Wimpole Street.
The John Saunders Suite clinic consists of five consulting
rooms, an orthoptics and visual field consultation room, and
a treatment room for minor procedures.
The Arthur Steele Unit consists of six consulting rooms,
two instrument rooms and a treatment room.
The Rapid Access Clinic in Wimpole Street consists
of three consulting rooms and a minor procedures treatment room.
If your treatment requires an overnight stay, you will enjoy
the comfort and privacy of the Cumberlege Wing, including
ensuite facilities, television, and an a la carte menu. We
also have 6 private day case rooms for procedures that do not require an overnight stay.
For Children
At Moorfields, our specialist children's unit aims to make
your child's stay as happy and home-like as possible. Within
a reassuring setting, our consultants and clinical teams provide
a level of care that fully supports our worldwide reputation
as a centre of excellence for childhood eye conditions.
Moorfields' expertise and experience in treating these often
rare conditions means we are the automatic first choice for
many parents who need to know their child is going to receive
the very best care and service possible.
In addition, Moorfields paediatric wards are staffed by registered
children's nurses, and make use of a full playroom supervised
by qualified play specialists. If a child needs to stay overnight,
we ask one parent to join them, for whom we will also provide accommodation.
Parents can find further information on specific conditions within the Moorfields NHS web site.

cater for any dietary needs as part of our private patients'
a la carte menu service. Children are treated in our paediatric
unit, with registered children's nurses and a playroom staffed by qualified specialists.
