Alnwick Infirmary is a community hospital based on the outskirts of Alnwick, easily accessible from the A1.
The hospital has a 24 hour Minor Injuries Unit and a medical rehabilitation ward with 30 beds, providing assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for patients.
The hospital has a dining room for visitors serving tea, coffee and snacks; there are also vending machines outside of hours. Daily papers are supplied on request from the local newsagents; however, this is a voluntary service and may not always be available. A League of Friends shop and trolley service is available on certain days.
A hairdresser visits the hospital on a regular basis and if you wish to enquire further about this, please speak with one of the ward staff.
Chaplains of various denominations visit the hospital regularly and will see any patient on request. If you wish to see a Chaplain at any time, please advise the nursing staff and they will arrange this.
