Haltwhistle War Memorial Hospital is situated in west Northumberland just off the main A69 Carlisle to Newcastle route. It is a General Practitioner run hospital and provides a service to the people of Haltwhistle and surrounding district who require general medical/care of the elderly, rehabilitation, palliative care and also incorporates a minor injuries unit.
At present, Haltwhistle has one ward with nineteen beds, all based on the ground level.
