** About us **
Sheffield Children’s Hospital was first established in 1876. Since 1948 it has provided services under the NHS and in 1992 it was established as an NHS trust. On August 1 2006, it became Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust under the Health and Social Care (Community Health and Standards) Act 2003.
What we do
We provide dedicated healthcare for children and young people, including community and mental health care as well as acute and specialist services. The Trust has already moved towards a broader, more comprehensive approach to supporting children and families. Our aim is to be at the forefront of best practice in delivering high quality and integrated care to children and young people.
