Banner Baywood Medical Center opened in 1984 in Mesa, Ariz. and provides complete acute care services in a 342-bed hospital. The hospital serves the growing East Valley communities of Mesa, Gilbert, Apache Junction, Queen Creek, Fountain Hills and areas of northeastern Pinal County.
Our 50,000 square-foot Emergency Department treats a variety of ailments and offers advanced treatment areas, 58 exam rooms and medical imaging technology.
Banner Baywood Medical Center also offers state-of-the-art technology including iCare, an extra layer of monitoring in intensive-care units. The hospital also has robotic surgery available and has implemented electronic-medical records as well as a computerized system designed to reduce complications during labor and delivery.
Dedicated to joint replacement procedures, the orthopedic center at Banner Baywood Medical Center is one of the nation’s premier orthopedic programs. The Institute’s commitment to excellent patient care has earned it repeated recognition as one of the Top 100 Orthopaedic Programs in the U.S. by The Health Network and HCIA, Inc.
In the summer 2007, Banner Baywood Medical Center added the John J. Rhodes Rehabilitation Center to help patients with conditions such as amputations, multiple sclerosis, stroke and other illnesses and/or injuries enhance their quality of life.
Banner Baywood Medical Center currently employs more than 2,000 health care professionals and support staff and has approximately 500 volunteers. The facility has a medical staff of more than 800 physicians, including primary care and specialty physicians.
