Kahuku Medical Center is a designated as a Critical Access Hospital by the State of Hawaii and the Medicare program. The Medical Center is the emergency safety net for 22,500 residents and approximately one million annual visitors to the North Shore and Koolau Loa areas.
Kahuku Medical Center is licensed for 11 acute/swing beds and 10 skilled/intermediate (SNF/ICF) long term care beds. The hospital provides 24 hour emergency care, general acute services, SNF/ICF nursing, laboratory, radiology, respiratory and rehabilitation services (PT, OT, ST). The hospital campus also houses a primary care physician clinic with family practice, obstetrics/gynecology and pediatric specialties.
