For more than 50 years Benewah Community Hospital has been providing high quality healthcare to individuals, families and visitors in St. Maries, Benewah, Shoshone and Kootenai counties. We are a 19-bed Critical Access Hospital, offering our patients a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic services providing high quality care in a rural setting. Our administration and staff are dedicated to providing you with excellent care, and as our guest, you will find our staff courteous, respectful and enthusiastic.
Benewah Community Hospital is excited to announce its renovation and expansion project to add more than 60,000 square feet of new space. Groundbreaking for the expansion project will begin in November 2010 and take from 18 to 24 months to complete. The renovations include a new enlarged clinic, new larger patient rooms with private baths, 75 new parking spaces, an expanded emergency department and more.
Benewah Community Hospital's Emergency Room is fully staffed, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. All ER physicians are Board Certified with Advanced Life Support training in trauma, cardiac and pediatrics.
