A beautiful day plus delicious salads made for a great Salad Luncheon
Over 200 people enjoyed the many salads at the Partners’ Annual Salad Luncheon on Thursday, September 25th at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Black River Falls. The event raised, through donations and ticket sales, over $1,500, which will be used for the Partners’ programs and services including its pledge to the hospital for specialized equipment for the Homecare Program.
This year’s luncheon featured a variety of delicious salads made by members of Partners, rolls, coffee, milk, and lemonade. Chairing the event were Carolyne Hensel and Deb Marg with committee members Barb Hanson, Jenni Hill, Mary O’Brien and Lynn Overman and they decorated the tables with a fall theme using small scarecrows, pumpkins, and leaves.
The committee extended appreciation to all members of partners who made salads, contributed money, or worked the event. “It takes many willing hands to make this a success,” they said. “We are grateful to everyone for their contributions and especially to the public for supporting this luncheon, which is now held every other year.”
Appreciation was also extended to Father John Steiner, Jan Eckles, and custodian Christy Goldsmith from St. Joseph Catholic Church for the use of their church hall; the PCCW at the church for donating the coffee; the hospital’s Food Service Department for supplies and salads; and the hospital’s Maintenance Department for help with the set up and clean up.
