George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust is pleased to announce that Rupert Herd and Shabir Ismail have been invited to serve further terms as Non-executive Directors on the Trust Board of Directors. These reappointments have been made in accordance with the Commissioner for Public Appointments’ Code of Practice.
Stuart Annan, Acting Chairman, said: “I was delighted to invite Rupert and Shabir to serve another term of office on the Trust’s Board of Directors.
“Since joining the board three years ago they have played a significant part in improving the overall financial and operational performance of the hospital.
“During their term in office the hospital has seen reductions in infection rates and mortality rates, which are now the lowest in the region, and a financial turnaround from deficit to surplus.
“I know that both Rupert and Shabir are looking forward to continuing their involvement and to help in the drive to provide a safe, caring and financially viable health service to our community.” |
