BRMC Offers Programs From Nationally Renowened Pediatrician, Harvey Karp, MD |
Date : - 30/11/-0001 |
Bay Regional Medical Center will again be offering several programs from nationally renowned pediatrician, Harvey Karp, M.D, the author of The Happiest Baby On the Block and The Happiest Toddler On the Block. He is a renowned pediatrician who offers valuable information on managing fussy babies and challenging toddlers and was previously in Bay City Michigan in 2007. He has been a pediatrician and child development specialist for 30 years. He is the most read pediatrician in America today and has appeared on Good Morning America, Dr. Phil, The View, CNN, MSNBC, and CBS Evening News. Dr. Karp teaches families and educators about the “Calming Reflex,” the virtual off-switch for crying that all babies are born with. He describes the first three months postpartum as the “fourth trimester,” whereby the baby must adjust to the “out of womb experience.” He teaches the Five S’s for eliciting this calming reflex. Dr. Karp also teaches a simple approach that eliminates 50 –90% of toddler tantrums in just days.
