The Brazosport Regional Cancer Center, a service of Brazosport Regional Health System, will hold an open house for the new Elekta Synergy® Linear Accelerator on Tuesday, January 27 at 4:30 PM. The Cancer Center is located at 100-B Medical Drive in Lake Jackson.
Official ceremonies include a 4:30 PM ribbon cutting followed by an open house from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. All members of the community are invited to tour the facility, observe demonstrations of the equipment, and share some refreshments.
The Elekta Synergy®, the world’s first radiation treatment system with an integrated 3D imaging system, will enable the physicians to target the tumor more precisely and more accurate, resulting in less side effects. Brazosport Regional’s approach to cancer treatment has been developed with the patient’s need in mind. The goal is to improve the patient’s quality of life and the chances for long-term survival.
The open house provides the community a chance to visit the Cancer Center, observe demonstrations of the new linear accelerator, and meet the oncologists and cancer center staff. With over 1,100 new cancer diagnosis per year in Brazoria County alone, Brazosport Regional is committed to providing the highest quality of care enabled by the latest in technology for the community they serve.
Brazosport Regional Cancer Center is the first radiation oncology center in Southeast Texas to offer this advanced service and technology to its patients.
