| Jane Wolfe, C-NP, Joins Marion General Hospital Hospice Team |

Jane Wolfe, C-NP, has joined the Marion General Hospital Hospice team to help provide recertification of hospice patients. Wolfe’s responsibilities are the result of a recent Medicare regulation that requires a face-to-face visit with a hospice patient 30 days prior to the beginning of a 180-day recertification for hospice care. A nurse practitioner is permitted to furnish clinical findings from that visit to the physician responsible for the recertification.
“We believe that this new statutory requirement will better enable hospice to comply with hospice eligibility criteria,” says Nancy Swavel, manager of Marion General’s hospice services, “and to assist our patients who do not meet those criteria.”
“I enjoy working with everyone who makes our hospice such an award winning success,” Wolfe states. “Each individual on this team puts the needs of their patients first.”
