| Memorial Health System Receives Employer of Choice Award |

Memorial Health System has been honored as an Employer of Choice – one of fewer than 30 employers nationwide to earn the prestigious award that recognizes an employer's dedication to its employees.
Four of the health system's six affiliates have locations in Lincoln. They are Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital; Memorial Home Services, 200 N. Chicago; Memorial Physician Services' Family Medical Center at Lincoln, 515 N. College; and Mental Health Centers of Central Illinois, 304 Eighth St.; and MHCCI's Logan-Mason Rehabilitation Center, 760 S. Postville Drive.
Employer of Choice Inc. of Greensboro, N.C., certifies employers as deserving of the recognition. The designation follows a rigorous evaluation process and recognizes Memorial Health System for "demonstrating dedication to a higher level of employee relationships, a level that goes far above and beyond normal practices," Joyce Gioia, president and CEO of Employer of Choice, said.
"Healthcare providers like Memorial Health System that earn the Employer of Choice designation have the knowledge, experience, resiliency and capacity to respond quickly to their patients' needs, delivering what patients want more efficiently," Gioia said. "These strengths allow them to maintain high levels of customer service and loyalty."
"Memorial Health System's vision is to be a national leader for excellence in patient care," Ed Curtis, president and CEO of Memorial Health System, said. "The Employer of Choice designation recognizes the crucial role our employees play in achieving that vision. Memorial Health System's six affiliates include Memorial Medical Center of Springfield, Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital of Lincoln, Taylorville Memorial Hospital, Memorial Physician Services, Memorial Home Services and Mental Health Centers of Central Illinois.
Memorial Physician Services, formerly known as HealthCare Network Associates, had been named an Employer of Choice for two consecutive years in 2007 and 2008. Only 10 organizations have received the award two or more times.

Organizations qualify for the Employer of Choice designation by scoring among the top 10 percent of employers in each of the following categories: The Company, The Culture, Enlightened Leadership, Care of People, Growth and Opportunity, Meaningful Work, Compensation and Benefits, Making a Difference, Employee Loyalty and Performance Results.
