Laboratory and Radiology (X-ray) services are available 24 hours a day, with staff serving both the hospital and attached medical clinic. Radiologists and Pathologists provide expert diagnostic services.
A variety of surgical procedures are performed in the new surgical suites at Murray County Medical Center. The facilities are equipped to accommodate major and minor surgery, including orthopedic surgery. Most chemotherapy treatments are available locally.
Murray County Medical Center also features Physical, Occupational and Language/Speech Therapy provided through Shetek Therapy Services. Therapy Services are available to assist patients who are recuperating from surgery or accidents with services provided on the hospital campus as well as off-site facilities throughout the area. Shetek Therapy Services is located in the Murray County Professional Building, downtown Slayton, MN.
Murray County Medical Center's Respiratory Therapy Department is staffed by Registered Respiratory Therapists working together closely with the Medical Staff to provide accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment of respiratory illness of chronic disease.
Shetek Home Care provides in-home care to provide help to those needing assistance with medications, bathing and general care. Available throughout a four county area, professional nurses and nursing assistants work closely with each individual's Primary Care Physician to assure the highest level of care is provided.
Sunrise Terrace, Congregate Care Senior Housing, is attached directly to the hospital. Twenty apartments offer comfortable, affordable living.
