About West Alabama Vascular & Endovascular Surgery
Welcome to West Alabama Vascular and Endovascular Surgery (WAVES). Our staff is devoted entirely to the treatment of vascular disease and providing our patients with all treatment options. It is our philosophy to treat each patient with respect, dignity and expertise.
Dr. Melanie Rose is board certified in general surgery and vascular surgery. She is a member of the Alabama Vascular Society and numerous other societies. She is the author of many scientific articles and book chapters, and she continues to perform ongoing clinical research in vascular surgery. Dr. Rose is a UAB Medicine Vascular Surgeon and is a clinical assistant professor in the UAB Department of Surgery at the Marnix E. Heersink School of Medicine.
WAVES provides a complete selection of different treatment options for vascular disease. Our clinic is able to perform nonoperative stents/balloons on vascular blockages; surgical bypasses when necessary; clean out of blocked arteries; and treatment of complications arising from vascular procedures. Dr. Rose is also a vascular wound specialist.
