| Hospice volunteers needed in Abilene and surrounding areas |

Individuals interested in serving as hospice volunteers are encouraged to attend Hendrick Hospice Care Volunteer Training Tuesday, October 6 through Thursday, October 8 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. in Auxiliary Conference Center Room B, located on the second floor of the Shelton Building, 2000 Pine St. Hendrick Hospice Care is seeking caring, compassionate volunteers from Abilene and the surrounding areas.
“Our hospice volunteers make a difference everyday by showing care and compassion to our patients and families,” said Terri Marcus, volunteer coordinator for Hendrick Hospice Care. “Volunteers are needed in many areas of service. Whether it is by baking a cake, helping in the office or simply giving an encouraging word, our volunteers are an essential part of Hendrick Hospice Care.”
Hendrick Hospice Care provides care for patients in a 13-county region. Those who live within a 65-mile radius of Abilene are encouraged to attend the training to learn more about volunteer opportunities. No previous experience is required.
